The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Yerevan and Intellectual Property Owners Club organized a seminar-discussion entitled “Implementation of Copyright and Related Rights in Armenia”.
Representatives of television, law, advertising, publishing and IT companies took part in the discussion.
The speakers of the seminar-discussion were the director of “IPO Club” Human Rights NGO Varderesyan, “IPO Club” NGO expert Mkrtchyan, “IPO Club” NGO expert Shahnazaryan.
Acting Executive Director of CCI of Yerevan Artak Mikayelyan presented participants with the importance of the event, adding that the discussion of such format contributes to raising awareness of rights holders and revealing problems in the sphere.
Director of “IP Rights Club” Human Rights NGO Varderesyan presented the peculiarities of legal protection protection of copyrights on the internet .
“IPO Club” NGO expert Mkrtchyan presented the rights of publishers and the mechanisms for their implementation.
As well as the “IPO Club” NGO expert, Shahnazaryan presented the amendments to the draft law on copyright and related rights in the field of broadcasting, film producers and publishers’ rights.
The workshop discussion ended with questions and answers between participants and speakers.
